Armed Reserve of West GodavariDistrict which are used for Prisoners Escort, Jail Guards, VIP Escorts and other Bandobust duties. Armed Reserve will be supervised by one Dy.l SP Rank officer who will be in direct liaison with SP,West Godavari.

Following are the branches in Armed Reserve

Armed Reserve general will work under the guidance of one Reserve Inspector (Admin) who will look after deployment.
District Security Wing - which will provide PSOs to VIPs in the district
Bomb Disposal Team
Motor Transport works under one Reserve -Inspector Rank Officer
Unit Welfare - one Reserve Inspector will look after welfare of Police, maintenance of Hospital and others under direct supervision of SP
